Automated Accessibility Testing of Web Applications within CI/CD Process

Basic information

Who is this training for: Testers, software quality specialists, QA engineers, front-end developers, test automation specialists, DevOps. Participants should know the basics of digital accessibility and have experience in test automation.

Training objective: You will automate accessibility tests - you will select tools, libraries, write code, configure reports and plug everything into the continuous integration process (CI/CD).

Duration: 11 clock hours, consisting of 2 modules lasting 6 and 5 hours.

What will you find out?

We provide only practical knowledge, the very essence without unnecessary frills:

  • We will show you what a valuable accessibility test report can look like and how to use this information in practice.

  • You will learn which WCAG criteria can be checked automatically.

  • You will learn about tools for automatic accessibility testing, their strengths and weaknesses.

  • You will see commercial and free tools for automatic accessibility verification in action and you will learn whether and how they can be plugged into an existing CI/CD system.

  • We will advise you on how to set quality gates to control the level of accessibility.

You will practice the acquired knowledge. Together we will go through real problems of accessibility test automation and use the appropriate tools:

  • You will learn how to design test scenarios for accessibility verification.

  • You will prepare a complete CI pipeline into which you will integrate accessibility tests.

  • You will configure a tool for reporting automated accessibility tests.

  • Together we will match the appropriate tools to each level of testing - unit, integration, system and production.
